Good to know.
Do you do full home or apartment moves?
No. moovin handles single items and small loads, like a Marketplace find, a store purchase or a piece of furniture going across town. For a full home move, a traditional moving company is the better fit.
Do you pick up from Facebook Marketplace sellers?
Yes. We can coordinate an agreed pickup window with the seller after you have arranged the purchase. moovin transports the item; we don't guarantee the condition or authenticity of third-party listings.
What if the seller isn't home or doesn't show up?
We confirm the pickup time with the seller before we head out. If they're running late, waiting time over 15 minutes is $15 per 15 minutes. If the seller doesn't show up at all, a trip fee may apply, and we'll always let you know right away.
Do you check the item before delivering it?
We take a photo of the item's condition at pickup and send it to you, so there are no surprises. We don't inspect, test or guarantee items from third-party sellers, so check the listing carefully and ask the seller questions before you buy.
Is delivery really $69?
Yes, until November 30, for one item that one person can carry, with ground-level or elevator access, up to 10 km from pickup to delivery. After that, the regular price is $79. Stairs, extra distance, a second mover or same-day timing add to the price, and you'll always get a confirmed quote before we book. All prices + HST.
Can you move a sofa or refrigerator?
Our cargo vans are set up for single items and small loads. Send us a photo and rough dimensions, and we'll confirm it fits and can be loaded safely before we book. Large sofas and full-size fridges or washers may need a bigger truck, and we'll tell you up front if yours does.
Can I book same-day delivery?
You can request it. Same-day availability isn't guaranteed and depends on our schedule and the seller's availability.
Can you pick up my IKEA or Costco order?
Yes. You buy and pay for your items as usual. For click & collect orders, send us your order details and any pickup authorization the store needs, and we'll collect and deliver it. Or meet us at the store and we'll load it right after checkout. Delivery only; assembly isn't included.
Do you pay the seller for me?
No. You arrange and pay for your purchase directly with the seller. moovin provides the agreed pickup and delivery service.
